Job description

Responsibilities

• Understanding business requirements of clients
• Create workflows with data engineers and automate repetitive GIS processes
• Produce accurate maps by merging drone images with existing geospatial data
• Ensure data accuracy by going out in the field to resolve conflicts
• Prepare reports, document all recommendations and solutions and maintain knowledge of all client requirements for business applications.

Qualifications

• Degree in Computer Science or Data Science (specialization in Geospatial technologies or Computer Vision a plus), Geology, Environmental Studies or any equivalent Engineering degree.
• Experience working with mapping tools like ArcGIS, QGIS and Pix4D
• Experience working with satellite imagery
• Excellent working attitude, problem solving and communication skills
• Proficiency in automating GIS processes through model builders or python coding.
