Job summary

PERSOL SINGAPORE PTE. LTD. is seeking a GIS data coordinator to keep telecom infrastructure maps in sync with as-built drawings. You will update parameters for cables, ducts, and joints using Esri ArcGIS, Smallworld, or QGIS, ensuring consistency across all systems.

You will collaborate with project teams to meet schedules, validate data quality, and enforce drafting standards, including naming conventions, layers, and title blocks, while supporting data governance across platforms.

Qualifications

• Experience with GIS software such as Esri ArcGIS, Smallworld or QGIS.
• Understanding of telecom fibre network topology and components.
• Knowledge of fibre optic infrastructure (cables, ducts, manholes).
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel for data handling and validation.
• Ability to perform basic data validation and quality assurance.

Responsibilities

• Ensure GIS maps reflect physical telecom infrastructure accurately.
• Update GIS data according to project schedules and deadlines.
• Update cabling, joints, pipes and ducts in the GIS per as-built drawings.
• Understand cable connectivity concepts and update related info.
• Adhere to drafting standards including naming, layering, and title blocks.
• Coordinate data updates across downstream systems and platforms.
• Own end-to-end data consistency across systems and processes.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure timely, accurate updates.
• Investigate data mismatches and propose corrective actions.

Job description

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for ensuring that the company's digital network maps accurately reflect the physical telecommunications infrastructure that has been built
• Complete GIS updates according to project schedules and deadlines.
• Utilize the GIS system and company portal to update parameters for cables, joint closures, pipes, and ducts routing per as-built drawings
• Understand cable connectivity concepts and pipe test reports, updating related information in the GIS system
• Ensure all updates adhere to established drafting standards, including formatting, naming conventions, layering, and title block information
• Ensure that all GIS updates are accurately reflected and aligned across all relevant downstream systems and platforms
• Take ownership of end-to-end data consistency across systems, including initiating, tracking, and verifying update processes
• Coordinate with stakeholders and system owners to ensure timely and accurate updates across all systems
• Investigate and resolve data mismatches, perform analysis, and propose corrective actions to prevent recurrence

Requirements:

• Experience in GIS software (commonly Esri ArcGIS, Smallworld, QGIS, or similar)
• Understanding of telecom fibre network topology
