Job summary

GovTech is seeking a veterinary professional to join the Marine Aquaculture Centre (MAC) to implement fish health protocols and improve health management. The role includes overseeing compliance, enhancing diagnostic capabilities, and coordinating with labs for sample analysis.

Qualifications

  • Veterinary degree, preferably with aquatic animal health specialization.
  • Experience in aquaculture.
  • Familiar with the Guidelines on the Care and Use of Animals for Scientific Purposes (NACLAR).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Able to collaborate across different teams to complete projects.
  • Prepared to work on weekends and after office hours.

Responsibilities

  • Implement and oversee fish health protocols at MAC.
  • Oversee compliance of procedures and biosecurity at MAC.
  • Improve fish disease diagnostic capability and arrange sample analysis.
  • Review processes to enhance MAC’s biosecurity and health management.
  • Collaborate with industry and academic researchers on fish health R&D.
  • Provide technical advice on fish health management to the industry.
