Job summary

MSD invites applications for an Aquaculture Assistant to support the daily operations of aquaculture and wet laboratory facilities, performing routine fish husbandry, water quality monitoring, and research support activities. Qualifications

• Higher Nitec graduate and above.
• Experience in wet laboratory environments is preferred.
• Ability to work physically demanding tasks and handle live fish.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily fish husbandry and animal care.
• Monitor water quality and maintain records.
• Prepare live fish for research and sample collection (weighing, morphometrics).
• Assist with routine lab procedures: dissection, DNA/RNA extraction, PCR/qPCR, bacterial plating.
• Maintain accurate records of stocks, activities, and equipment.
