Job summary

Vibro Technologies & Engineering Pte Ltd in Singapore is seeking a hands-on Automation Engineer to design and develop control systems using WAGO PLC platforms. You will program automation logic, integrate sensors and field devices, and conduct rigorous testing, debugging, and commissioning across projects.

The role requires a degree in Electrical Engineering/Mechatronics/Automation, strong PLC experience, and familiarity with AutoCAD/SolidWorks.

Qualifications

• Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Automation, Control Systems, or related fields.
• Strong hands-on experience in WAGO PLC programming or similar industrial automation platforms.
• Proven ability to develop control systems and programming logic from scratch.
• Experience in industrial automation, instrumentation, or system integration projects.
• Proficient in AutoCAD/SolidWorks and knowledge of single-line diagrams, ability to read and develop technical drawings, specifications, and tender documents.
• Familiar with industrial communication protocols such as Modbus and Ethernet/IP.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Willingness to provide on-site technical support when required.

PLC Programming & Control System Development

• Design and develop control systems using WAGO PLC platforms.
• Program automation logic and control sequences from scratch based on project requirements.
• Integrate sensors, instruments, and industrial field devices into control systems.
• Perform system testing, debugging, and commissioning activities.

Technical Documentation & Tender Review

• Prepare technical specifications for automation and control system projects.
• Review and interpret customer tender documents and technical requirements.
• Ensure alignment between project scope, design, and customer specifications.
• Provide technical input during proposal and tender clarification stages.

Project Implementation & Field Support

• Support installation, commissioning, and troubleshooting of automation systems.
• Provide on-site technical support during project execution and post-deployment.
• Work closely with project and engineering teams to ensure successful delivery.

R&D and Solution Development

• Participate in research and development of automation solutions and system improvements.
• Develop and prototype new control logic and system functions.
• Evaluate and implement new technologies, PLC features, and industrial communication protocols.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of automation platforms and system performance.
