Job summary

Symrise AG in Singapore seeks an Application Technologist for Savory in APAC. Lead projects from formulation to delivery, focusing on culinary and snack systems while ensuring customer specs and formulation standards are met.

You will work with Commercial, R&D, Flavorists and Operations to drive innovation and commercialization. You will develop formulations, perform stability testing, and provide strong technical support to customers and internal teams, enabling cross-functional knowledge

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Food Technology or related field.
• 3+ years hands-on experience in snack, bouillon, culinary or savory application development.
• Solid knowledge of formulation development, processing, stability testing and scale-up.

Responsibilities

• Lead savory application projects from formulation to customer delivery.
• Develop and optimize formulations; conduct stability testing and scale-up support.
• Provide technical application support to customers and internal stakeholders.
• Collaborate with Commercial, Marketing, R&D, Flavorists, and Operations on new solutions.
• Prepare technical reports, data and materials for customer engagement and reviews.
• Share knowledge across Global, Regional and Local teams to strengthen capabilities.

Application Technologist (Savory), APAC

As an Application Technologist, you will play a key role in supporting Symrise's APAC growth by developing innovative and competitive savory application solutions with a focus on culinary applications such as bouillon, as well as snack applications including seasoning systems, extruded snacks, baked snacks and cheese-related products.

You will lead customer projects from formulation to delivery, ensuring solutions meet customer specifications and comply with Symrise formulation standards. You will collaborate closely with key stakeholders, internal and external, to drive innovation and commercial success.

The Position:

• Lead key savory application projects from formulation to customer delivery focusing on culinary and snack systems
• Develop and optimize formulations, conduct stability testing and scale-up support for new product applications
• Provide strong technical application support to customers and internal stakeholders
• Collaborate effectively with Commercial, Category, Marketing, Sensory Insight, R&T, Flavorists and Operations teams on new solution development and commercialization
• Prepare technical reports, application data and presentation materials to support customer engagement and internal reviews
• Contribute to dual-way knowledge sharing between Global, Regional and Local teams to strengthen application capabilities and best practices

The Ideal Candidate:

• Bachelor's Degree in Food Science, Food Technology or related field
• At least 3 years of hands-on experience in snack, bouillon, culinary or savory application development
• Solid practical knowledge of formulation development, processing parameters, stability testing and scale-up support
• Proactive, independent and solution-oriented, with good project management skills
• Strong communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively in a cross-functional environment.
