Job summary

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in mechanical/electrical engineering or related field.
• Experience or exposure to diesel generators is preferred; proactive learners welcome.
• Solid knowledge of diesel engines, alternators, and LV/MV power systems.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and MS Office.
• Ability to read and interpret single-line diagrams and drawings.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and communication skills, with customer focus.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support to sales for proposals, tenders, and inquiries.

• Review specifications and develop compliant, cost-effective solutions.
• Prepare drawings, single-line diagrams, GA drawings, and schematics.
• Prepare technical submissions, datasheets, calculations, and project docs.
• Coordinate with customers, suppliers and internal teams on clarifications and design changes.
• Support project execution, factory testing, commissioning and troubleshooting.
• Maintain and improve engineering standards and documentation.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide technical support to the sales team for proposals, tenders, and customer enquiries.
• Design and configure diesel generator systems, including engines, alternators, controls, and auxiliary equipment.
• Review customer specifications and develop compliant, cost-effective technical solutions.
• Prepare engineering drawings, including single-line diagrams, GA drawings, and electrical schematics.
• Prepare technical submissions, datasheets, calculations, and project documentation.
• Coordinate with customers, suppliers, and internal teams on technical clarifications and design changes.
• Support project execution, factory testing, commissioning, and technical troubleshooting.
• Maintain engineering standards, documentation, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Requirements & Skills

• Diploma or Degree in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or related discipline.
• Experience in diesel generator or power generation applications is preferred; candidates without experience with a proactive attitude and willingness to learn are encouraged to apply.
• Strong knowledge of diesel engines, alternators, synchronisation systems, and LV/MV power systems.
• Proficient in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office applications.
• Ability to prepare and interpret single-line diagrams and engineering drawings.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Customer-oriented with good commercial awareness and ability to work independently.
