RECRUITPEDIA PTE. LTD. is assisting a Japan MNC in the Construction sector to hire an Application Engineer (Electrical) for its Singapore Engineering team. This role leads electrical design for critical power and drives timely project delivery.
The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering with 5+ years in critical power, data centres, and energy infrastructure, and will work closely with vendors to ensure compliant, scalable solutions.

Lead the electrical design and engineering of Critical Power Solutions, ensuring compliance with project requirements and industry standards.
Design and develop MV/LV switchgear, transformers, Neutral Earthing Resistor (NER) systems, generator sets, Automatic & Static Transfer Switches (ATS/STS), Static & Dynamic UPS systems, Energy Storage Systems (ESS), PLC control panels, and system control philosophies.
Coordinate and integrate all critical power system components, working closely with equipment vendors to define interface requirements and ensure seamless system integration.
Review tender and project specifications, ensuring all designs meet contractual, technical, and customer requirements.
Participate in design review meetings with internal stakeholders and clients to present, clarify, and optimize engineering solutions.
Provide technical leadership and guidance to Engineers and Drafters by defining design objectives, project deliverables, and engineering standards.
Review and verify engineering drawings, calculations, and technical documentation to ensure accuracy, quality, and compliance with system design.
Stay current with industry developments, emerging technologies, regulatory changes, and Energy Transition initiatives, contributing to the development of innovative power solutions and engineering best practices.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality, reliable, and cost-effective critical power systems within project timelines.
Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
Minimum5 yearsof experience in electrical design engineering, preferably inCritical Power, Data Centres, Power Generation, Industrial, or Energy Infrastructureprojects.
Strong knowledge ofMV/LV power distribution systems, switchgear, transformers, UPS systems (Static & Dynamic), generator sets, ATS/STS, Energy Storage Systems (ESS), PLC control systems, and protection schemes.
Experience in the design, integration, and commissioning of critical power systems is highly preferred
