Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor, Master or Ph.D. in Physics or engineering with strong fundamentals in Photonics and optics.
• Fresh graduate considered.
• Experience with commercial optics/photonics software is a plus.
• Excellent presentation and communication skills in English.

Responsibilities

Job description

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Function as a specialist in the use and application of ANSYS Photonics solutions - Lumerical/ZEMAX
• Lead in coordinating and executing all technical activities throughout the sales opportunity such as customer meetings and product presentations, demonstrations and evaluations.
• Create and demonstrate simulation solutions to streamline customer workflows, in support of the software sales process
• Work collaboratively with customers to ensure their successful use of ANSYS Optics/Photonics products and develop/strengthen long-term relationships with customers
• Seed opportunities to expand software usage or cross sell during customer interaction
• Work independently to analyze technical needs, requirements, and state of a customers’ current
• Infrastructure, operations, and engineering workflows
• Guide customers right from problem definition to problem setup, solution, visualization and interpretation, in order to improve customers’ productivity and satisfaction.
• Deliver Consulting projects/ training classes on Optics/Photonics simulation
• Other duties as assigned

Desired Candidate Profile:

• Bachelor, Master or PH.D. degree in Physics or engineering discipline with strong fundamentals in Photonics and optics.
• Fresh graduate can apply.
• Demonstrated use of relevant commercial software to solve real-world engineering problems in optics or photonics is a plus
• Engaging personality, engineering curiosity and willingness for continuous learning
• Ability to work independently, as well as with others in a diverse team environment
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to facilitate and conduct webinars and presentations to customers
• Demonstrated skills in writing and presenting in fluent English
• Logical problem-solving approach and the ability to clearly communicate the situation and proposed solution to the customer
• Projects a professional image and strong business acumen during customer interactions
• Possesses a sense of urgency, strong organizational and follow up skills
• Ability to travel up to 30%
