Job summary

Tecan Asia in Singapore is seeking an Application Engineer (Platforms) to join our sales team. You will provide service and application support to regional distributors, help configure hardware for quotations, and promote automation solutions to customers.

The role requires 2+ years lab experience, a strong background in molecular biology, and fluency in English and Mandarin. You will engage in trainings, workshops, and exhibitions to showcase Tecan platforms.

Qualifications

• 2 years lab experience minimum.
• English and Mandarin required.
• Familiar with molecular biology techniques and process automation.
• Able to work on complex instruments and platform configurations.

Responsibilities

Application Engineer (Platforms)

What You Will Do

• To provide service and application support to regional distributors.
• Support scope includes: Helping distributors configure hardware for quotation generation, product presentations, promote specific automation solutions to customers

Responsibilities Will Include

• Assist distributors and enduses to resolve technical and application problems
• Assist distributors to install complex robotic platforms
• Disseminate product and technical support information to distributors promptly
• Help distributors in configurating platforms for quotations for sales and tender purposes
• Monitor service quality of distributors and make prompt report to GM if there are lapses in service quality
• Monitor and report product quality issues
• Open service notifications
• Promote Tecan products at exhibitions and seminars
• Conduct trainings for distributors (platform)
• Organize workshops
• Carry out scheduled marketing and promotion activities as defined / requested by MUAP head / Marcom / GM

Provide high quality support for T-CH products to Tecan sales team, distributors and end users as contribution to Tecan’s financial goals

What You Bring Along

• BSc. (Hons) in life science discipline, 2nd Upper or better
• MSc or higher, with focus on molecular biology or biochemistry
• 2 years lab experience (minimum)
• English, Mandarin
• Familiar with molecular biology techniques, process automation & able to work on complex instruments
