Job summary

Quess Selection & Services, Singapore, is seeking a Software Developer/IT Engineer with a Diploma or Degree in IT to join the network and automation team. You will assist in automation initiatives, build monitoring dashboards, and maintain network monitoring tools.

Candidates should be proficient in Python, Javascript, SQL, and web tech (ReactJS, HTML, CSS), comfortable in Unix and Windows environments, and able to work both in a team and independently.

Qualifications

• Diploma/degree in IT or equivalent demonstrated.
• Programming skills in Python, Javascript, UNIX script, and SQL.
• Familiar with web technologies: ReactJS, HTML, CSS.
• Able to develop in Unix and Windows environments.
• Basic networking knowledge (TCP/IP, SNMP).
• Self-driven with ability to work in a team or independently.

Responsibilities

• Assist network team with automation initiatives in provisioning and monitoring.
• Create monitoring dashboards to enhance monitoring capabilities.
• Manage and maintain network monitoring systems and tools.
• Code, test and troubleshoot programs using appropriate hardware, database, and programming tech.
• Understand and integrate with system APIs.
• Modify programs with approved changes and develop logic and coding updates.
• Test and develop programming modifications.
• Write new program code using prescribed specifications.
• Provide BAU support and enhancements to the existing system.
• Provide 24x7 on-call support.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Job description

Responsibilities

• Assist network team in achieving automation initiatives in areas such as network provisioning and monitoring.
• Create monitoring dashboard to enhance the monitoring capabilities.
• Manage and maintain network monitoring systems and tools.
• Code, test and troubleshoot programs utilizing the appropriate hardware, database, and programming technology.
• Understand and Integrate with system API
• Maintain and modify programs; make approved changes by amending flow charts, develop detailed programming logic and coding changes.
• Test and develop programming modifications.
• Write new program code using prescribed specifications.
• Provide BAU support and enhancements to the existing system
• Provide 24x7 on call support
• Other duties as assigned

Requirement

• Minimum Diploma/Degree in Information Technology or its equivalent.
• Programming skills in languages such as Python, Javascript, UNIX script, SQL etc
• Familiar with web applications technologies (ReactJS, HTML, CSS etc.)
• Able to develop in both Unix and Windows environment.
• Possess basic knowledge in Networking (TCP/IP, SNMP etc)
• Self-driven and ability to work as a team and independently

Working Hours

• Mon to Fri (9 to 6PM), however may require to work beyond office hours if need
• Night support needed during deployment
