Job summary

PERSOL SINGAPORE PTE. LTD. is seeking a senior full‑stack/backend engineer to design, develop, and maintain the ETRS application using Django. The role focuses on secure REST APIs, scalable backends, and data quality, with collaboration across BAs and UX teams to deliver robust UIs.

Applicants should have 4–10+ years of software development experience, strong Django, database, and web tech skills, plus experience in banking/financial systems and devops practices including CI/CD.

Qualifications

Job description

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain the ETRS application using Django Python.

• Build secure and scalable REST APIs and backend services, following best practices related to software engineering standards, testing, controls, and release management.

• Implement complex business logic, including computing risk metrics, generating dashboards, managing workflows, and performing data quality checks.

• Develop and maintain responsive UI components using HTML and CSS.

• Work closely with Business Analysts and UX teams to deliver intuitive user interfaces.

• Ensure cross-browser compatibility and optimize application performance.

• Participate in Agile development teams, understand user requirements, and contribute to product evolution.

• Implement and maintain software quality metrics, including clean coding practices, code coverage, system performance, and system security.

• Support code migration through standard CI/CD pipelines, deployment processes, and release management activities.

• Provide Level 3 (L3) support to Level 1 (L1) and Level 2 (L2) production support teams.

• Attend to production issues and resolve them within defined SLA requirements.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Awareness of security practices including encryption, authentication, and fraud prevention.

Education & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

• 4–10+ years of software development experience.

• Minimum 3+ years of experience working on banking or financial systems.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

• Attention to detail, particularly with respect to data accuracy and completeness.

• Good written and spoken English communication skills.

• Ability to work in a fast-paced, output-driven environment.
