FPT Asia Pacific PTE. LTD. seeks an experienced Application DBA / Stored Procedure Developer to support migrating a legacy Sybase environment to a modern SQL-based platform.

The role focuses on application-level database development, analyzing procedures, re-engineering embedded logic, and ensuring functional accuracy throughout the migration process.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in application-level database development or stored procedure engineering.
• Experience with Sybase stored procedures and database architecture.
• Proficiency in T-SQL or equivalent SQL technologies.
• Experience in database migration, schema conversion, and functional validation.

Responsibilities

• Analyze and document existing Sybase stored procedures and embedded business logic.
• Re-engineer and convert legacy stored procedures to T-SQL or an equivalent SQL dialect.
• Ensure converted procedures maintain functional accuracy and performance.
• Collaborate with application developers to resolve database and application logic dependencies.
• Support database schema migration and data integrity validation.
• Perform functional testing and validate converted database logic.
• Participate in migration testing, deployment, and cutover activities.

Requirements

• Experience in database migration, schema conversion, and functional validation.
• Familiarity with ETL pipelines and data migration methodologies is an advantage.
