Job summary

Tech Data APAC is seeking an experienced Export Compliance Leader to manage day-to-day export controls and interface with Sales, Compliance, and Logistics across the APJ region. The role includes program implementation, staff leadership, and regulatory response.

The ideal candidate will have 8–10 years in export compliance, a relevant degree, and strong English communication. You will train teams, oversee audits, and drive improvements while coordinating with ERP systems like SAP/JDE.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree with Export Controls field of study required.
• Ability to execute instructions and request clarification when needed.
• Strong data entry and numerical calculation skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication in English.

Responsibilities

• Manages day-to-day export control activities and escalations across Sales, Operations, and Logistics.
• Delivers training on export compliance and licensing topics to stakeholders.
• Implements the export compliance program across multiple countries in APJ.
• Responds to government queries related to export control matters.
• Leads staff or vendor teams performing export control transactions.
• Conducts self-assessments to identify risks and implement corrective actions.
• Leads integration of automated trade tools (SAP/JDE) into APJ ERPs.
