Job summary

Taylor Root, a global recruitment partner, is partnering with an established international financial services organisation to appoint a Senior Legal Counsel, APAC, based in Singapore. This senior, hands-on role provides legal support across the APAC business, working with senior stakeholders and global legal colleagues.

You will advise on a broad range of matters including derivatives, securities and regulatory issues, draft and negotiate complex agreements, and help manage cross-border

Qualifications

• Extensive in-house financial services experience.
• Experience with derivatives, securities, brokerage and capital markets.
• Strong knowledge of Singapore/APAC regulatory environment.
• Ability to independently manage matters and advise senior stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Provide legal advice to APAC business stakeholders.
• Advise on markets, trading, and derivatives regulatory matters.
• Draft and negotiate client, trading and commercial agreements.
• Support new products and cross-border initiatives.
• Advise on regulatory governance and legal risk.
• Manage disputes and coordinate with external counsel.
• Partner with Compliance, Risk and other functions.
