Job summary

GlobalFoundries APAC seeks a seasoned Safety & Emergency Response Manager to lead EHSS programs across Asia Pacific, setting site safety objectives and directing teams of safety engineers.

You will ensure compliance with ISO45001, SS651 and regional regulations while collaborating with manufacturing, R&D, and supply chain leaders. Emphasis on risk reduction, training, audits, and continuous improvement across the region.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Industrial Hygiene or equivalent applicable field.
• 10–15 years of senior EHS management experience in multinational or semiconductor industries.
• Strong knowledge of ISO 14001, ISO 45001, SS651, MOM, OSHA, SEMI, FM Global standards; RBA principles.
• Lead Auditor certification in ISO 14001, ISO 18001/45001 advantageous.
• Fluent in English, written and verbal; travel up to ~10%.

Responsibilities

• Thrive in EHSS organization valuing People, Compliance, Risk Management & Continuous Improvement.
• Lead and develop a team of Safety Engineers and EHSS experts to promote Safety awareness.
• Strategically drive best-in-class Safety programs to reduce risk and injuries.
• Develop section goals, priorities, performance metrics, and manage the section budget.
• Oversee all projects under the Safety Section, ensuring timely and quality execution.
• Ensure compliance with EHS policies and global Safety standards.
• Lead initiatives to ensure adherence to laws and regulations related to Safety.
• Facilitate stakeholder engagement in identifying and resolving employee Safety concerns.
• Advise and manage Emergency Response protocols and readiness.
• Design and implement EHS training programs for employees and contractors.
• Drive Safety culture through leadership, audits, and continuous improvement.
• Coordinate and lead Safety audits to ISO45001, SS651, etc.
• Analyze Safety data trends and develop action plans for improvement.
• Provide coaching and development to site personnel.
