Job summary

Airwallex Singapore is seeking a Senior Manager, Regulatory Operations to build and run the controls engine for APAC regulatory obligations. You will work with Regulatory Legal & Compliance, Risk, Product, Operations, and external partners to ensure scalable, regulator-ready controls and documentation. This hands-on role requires turning complex rules into practical, tested controls and evidence packages.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in regulatory operations, regulatory compliance, internal audit, risk management, or similar.
• Experience translating legal, regulatory, or partner requirements into operational controls, procedures, and testing/assurance activities.
• Direct involvement in regulatory exams, audits, RFIs, or partner due-diligence reviews, with ownership.
• Strong project management across cross-functional teams.
• Excellent analytical and writing skills to translate regulatory concepts into clear controls.
• Comfort operating in a fast-moving, high-standards environment with cross-functional ownership.

Responsibilities

• Identify, interpret, and operationalize regulatory and partner obligations across APAC jurisdictions, products, and licensed entities; translate obligations into governance, controls, and execution requirements.
• Manage end-to-end design of key regulatory and partner controls with Product, Operations, Engineering, Risk, and Regulatory Compliance to embed controls into workflows and systems.
• Build and maintain regulator and partner-ready documentation including obligation mappings, control descriptions, RACIs, testing approaches, evidence standards, and remediation tracking.
• Engage with regulators, auditors, and financial partners; explain obligations, control architecture, and operation of controls.
• Support regulatory exams, audits, inspections, RFIs, and related supervisory engagements by coordinating responses and evidence packages.
• Govern material changes to controls; ensure stakeholders are notified and the obligations register reflects updates.
• Contribute to the design and operation of regional regulatory reporting and obligations governance.
• Identify gaps or duplication across APAC, driving remediation or uplift plans balancing regulatory expectations and business impact.
• Use and contribute to GRC tooling, maintaining APAC obligations, controls, and evidence; support AI-native tooling transition.
