Allianz Commercial seeks a Regional Head of Underwriting, APAC, based in Singapore, to lead regional strategy, manage the underwriting portfolio, and ensure compliance within regulatory frameworks. The role focalizes on achieving profitable growth through pricing discipline, product development, and broker/client relationships.

• Excellent communication and presentation, strong negotiation and leadership, expertise in risk assessment & management, advanced pricing knowledge, contract drafting proficiency, and strong analytical abilities.
• More than 10 years experience in underwriting management, strong broker relationships, local market presence, proven profitable growth, and experience leading teams in complex global environments.
• Master's degree in Economics, Law, or a related discipline; completion of professional insurance qualifications (e.g., CII).
• The ability to ensure ethical AI practices and stay updated with emerging AI technologies will be key to maintaining a competitive advantage.

Responsabilidades

• Develop regional underwriting strategy aligned with global AZC goals.
• Identify market opportunities to grow business.
• Lead cross-LoB strategies with regional leaders to foster innovation.
• Manage the portfolio to meet financial and loss ratio targets across the region.
• Drive planning, monitor progress and optimise the portfolio across the underwriting lifecycle.
• Maintain underwriting consistency and compliance with corporate and regulatory standards.
• Drive rollout and adoption of global pricing and TEX tools across the region.
• Ensure global governance coherence and adherence to compliance standards.
• Promote integrity and ethical behaviour organization-wide.
• Acquire and retain business through strategic client and broker relationships.
• Enhance market presence and represent Allianz Commercial internally and externally.
• Lead the regional underwriting teams in new business and renewal strategies.
• Collaborate closely with the global LoB leads on development of local products.
• Oversee cross-LoB and country underwriting deals acting as a consistent face to the market across the region.
• Act as first point of escalation point for underwriting referrals.
