Job summary

Eames Consulting in Singapore is seeking a Regional Network Engineer to support APAC infrastructure across trading floors and corporate offices. You will act as the L2 escalation point, bridging the 24/7 NOC with the L3 global architecture team to ensure latency is minimized and uptime remains high.

Qualifications

• Extensive hands-on experience with Cisco routing/switching and Fortinet firewalls.
• Strong knowledge of BGP and EIGRP; proficient with Wireshark for packet traces.
• Background in L2 Network Support or NOC; experience in financial services is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary L2 escalation point for regional network operations between the 24/7 L1 monitoring NOC and the L3 global architecture team.
• Troubleshoot and resolve critical e-trading latency issues using packet capture tools to identify network bottlenecks.
• Maintain and support the core regional infrastructure, focusing on routing, switching, firewalls, and load balancing.
• Participate in a low-volume, 1-in-4 weekly on-call standby rotation (historically averaging only 1-2 minor escalations per week).
• Assist the Product Owner with skeletal network design and deployment planning during rare regional office relocations or expansions.
