Job summary

Brenntag APAC is seeking a Regional Privacy Manager to lead the regional privacy program under the Head of Group Privacy and ensure alignment with the company’s global strategy and framework. You will collaborate with the Group Data Protection Office in Essen to develop standards, policies and procedures, implement processes, and strengthen privacy governance across the region.

Qualifications

• Minimum 7 years of experience in data privacy/data protection, privacy management, or risk management.
• Master of Law or Business degree preferred unless equivalent experience shown.
• Strong knowledge of GDPR, PIPL, PDPA with APAC focus.
• Experience in risk assessments and Data Protection Impact Assessments.
• Ability to lead projects and communicate complex concepts clearly.
• Excellent cross-functional collaboration in an international environment.

Responsibilities

• Work cross-functionally to integrate the privacy program into business processes.
• Collaborate with the Head of Group Privacy to align regional practices with global standards.
• Support and enhance Brenntag’s global privacy program.
• Transform global strategy into regional initiatives.
• Oversee Local Data Protection Coordinators for consistent DPMS.
• Conduct data privacy audits and monitor regulatory developments.
• Lead privacy training programs and regional awareness campaigns.
• Support data subject requests and incident investigations.
