Job summary

Apple Singapore is seeking a Senior Privacy Counsel to partner with product, engineering and business teams across APAC. You will lead privacy initiatives, advise on regulatory requirements, and help design privacy by design across products and services.

You will collaborate with the Privacy Legal team to manage data protection programs, respond to requests from authorities, and monitor evolving APAC privacy laws to keep Apple compliant worldwide.

Qualifications

• 10+ years privacy experience in a law firm, business, or regulatory environment.
• Deep knowledge of comprehensive privacy laws, regulators’ guidance and standards.
• Admission as a lawyer, solicitor, advocate, or barrister in a relevant APAC jurisdiction.
• Excellent English written and verbal skills.

Responsibilities

• Advise on local privacy and data protection laws within APAC.
• Track privacy legislation developments across APAC and perform gap analyses.
• Assist with escalations regarding privacy complaints and data subject rights.
• Provide advice in relation to requests from courts and law enforcement agencies.
• Respond to regulatory inquiries and investigations across APAC.
• Support compliance and auditing frameworks.
• Assist with drafting of and updates to relevant policies and procedures.
• Provide support as Apple expands into new regions.
