Job summary

EDP Energias De Portugal S.A. APAC is seeking a Regulatory Monitoring and Market Modelling specialist to join a multidisciplinary team covering APAC, Iberia, Europe and Latam.

The role focuses on supporting opportunities in APAC with emphasis on regulatory and market analytics. You will monitor regulatory developments, build revenue models for PV, storage and wind, and coordinate with local teams and external consultants.

Qualifications

• Engineering degree or equivalent quantitative degree.
• 1–2 years in business/strategic consulting or power markets.
• Knowledge of electricity sector and power markets.
• Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint.
• Proficiency in Python modelling.
• Experience with power price modelling software is a plus.
• Knowledge of Power BI is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Monitor regulatory environment in APAC geographies and share knowledge with stakeholders.
• Identify potential regulatory changes affecting assets revenues.
• Support in regulatory positioning documents and engagement with associations.
• Understand power markets and routes to market for renewables and batteries.
• Develop and maintain revenue models for PV, ESS, wind.
• Forecast wholesale and retail power prices and tariffs.
• Assess opportunities (auctions, M&A, development) and due diligence.
