Job summary

The Good Food Institute APAC seeks a Head of Policy to lead the region's policy strategy and drive impactful engagements across APAC. You will guide the policy team and build strategic relationships with governments, funders, and partners to accelerate the adoption of alternative proteins.

This senior role requires a deep policy background, a broad network across APAC, and the ability to translate strategy into practical action within a distributed, international team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in political science, international relations, economics, law, or related field; Master’s degree is an advantage.
• At least 10 years in policy, public affairs, diplomacy, government relations, or regulatory affairs in APAC.
• Strong network of policy, government, and industry contacts across APAC.
• Experience mobilising public or climate finance and engaging with government bodies.

Responsibilities

• Set strategic direction for policy work and oversee country programmes across APAC.
• Lead policy initiatives, build coalitions, and represent GFI APAC externally.
• Manage and develop policy team members, with clear priorities and performance expectations.
• Collaborate with internal teams (Communications, Development) to maximise impact.
• Travel regularly across APAC for engagement and events.
