Job summary

Inline is seeking a People Operations Manager to lead APAC HR operations from Singapore, ensuring a compliant, scalable workforce platform across Taiwan, Singapore, Hong Kong, Australia, Malaysia, Thailand and Japan. You will drive governance, benefits, and lifecycle programs while partnering with leaders to deliver a high-quality employee experience.

You will manage an APAC team, ensure accurate records in HRIS, and maintain strong stakeholder relationships.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2+ years of management experience leading a team of 4+ professionals.
• Experience in Tech, startups or high-growth environments.
• Experience in HR policy, compliance and operations in at least 2 markets (e.g., Singapore, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Australia, Japan).

As People Operations Manager, you will sit at the intersection of operational discipline and legal complexity, overseeing the infrastructure that keeps inline's workforce running while ensuring every employee across APAC experiences a consistent, high-quality HR function. Key Responsibilities

• 1. Team Leadership & Operations Management
  • Team Management: Directly manage the operations team across APAC, including ICs responsible for compliance, benefits, and employee lifecycle workstreams. Set clear performance benchmarks, provide continuous coaching, and create growth opportunities for team members.
  • Operational Excellence: Act as the primary escalation point for the team, removing blockers and ensuring consistent, high-quality delivery across all workstreams.
• 2. Compliance & Employment Law
  • Strategy Ownership: Own compliance strategies and set standards across APAC offices (Taiwan, Singapore, Hong Kong, Australia, and Japan).
  • Regulatory Monitoring: Identify regulatory changes across markets, assess their impact on our policies and practices, and direct People Ops to implement required updates.
  • Governance Design: Design and maintain the compliance governance framework, including audit schedules, escalation paths, and documentation standards.
• 3. Benefits & Employee Lifecycle
  • Benefits Administration: Administer employee benefits programs across APAC, and handle employee queries on benefits, leave policies, and entitlements with accuracy and care. Liaise with insurance brokers, vendors, and government agencies as needed.
  • Visa & HRIS: Oversight work pass applications, renewals, and cancellations across relevant markets (e.g. Singapore WP/SP, Taiwan ARC). Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records in HRIS.
  • Onboarding & Offboarding: Oversight end-to-end processes across APAC, ensuring a consistent and high-quality employee experience.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Management: 2+ years of management experience, directly managing a team of 4+ professionals. Proven ability to coach and develop team members and hold people accountable with care and clarity.
• Experience: Prior experience in Tech, start-up or high-growth sectors.
• Knowledge: Prior experience managing HR policy, compliance, and operations in at least 2 of the following areas: Australia, Singapore, Hong Kong, Taiwan, or Japan.
• Communication: Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to influence and effectively persuade people across skill levels and functions. A service-oriented mindset when handling inquiries, especially from managers and executives.
• Language: Since this role manages people operations across several countries, fluency in English is essential (IELTS 7.0+, is not a substitute for TOEFL). A facility in Mandarin is a nice-to-have, as it will help you communicate more easily with colleagues in our Taiwan office.
• Tools: Proficiency with Google Workspace is a cultural necessity to be successful within inline.
