APAC Network Architect – Global Office & Backbone

Job summary

ByteDance is seeking an APAC Network Architect based in Singapore to drive architecture, buildout, and operations governance for global office networks and backbone connectivity. You will lead cross-region deliveries, coordinate with regional teams, and ensure high availability and security across the enterprise network estate.

You will design and govern campus, WAN, data center interconnect, and cloud connectivity architectures, while applying modern technologies to improve performance and cost

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or above in a technical discipline or equivalent practical experience.
• Extensive experience in IT network architecture design, planning, buildout and governance for enterprise networks.
• Expert knowledge of TCP/IP, routing, switching, security, and high availability architectures including BGP/OSPF/IS-IS.
• Experience with IPv4/IPv6 dual-stack networks and cross-region WAN architectures.
• Strong English communication skills for coordinating with global stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Own architecture design, buildout, optimization, and governance for global office networks and cross-border connectivity.
• Lead capacity expansion for regional networks while meeting quality, cost and timeline targets.
• Design enterprise network architectures aligned with IT strategy and growth, including WAN, data centers, and cloud connectivity.
• Act as technical owner for projects, coordinating with multiple teams and vendors to mitigate risks.
• Build global delivery standards, templates and SOPs for repeatable network delivery.
• Lead RCA and incident response to reduce network risk impact on business continuity.
• Evaluate emerging technologies (SD-WAN, SASE, SRv6, Wi-Fi 6/7) and apply them to architecture evolution.
• Assess capacity, performance, stability, and security for office network infrastructure.
