Stripe, Inc. is seeking an Engineering Manager for APAC MaaS based in Singapore. You will lead multiple pods, own the engineering charter end-to-end, and drive roadmap decisions across licensing, banking, networks, and compliance.

You’ll partner with product, legal, and partnerships to deliver safe, scalable money movement capabilities across APAC. The role emphasizes hands-on leadership, hiring, and building a high-performing team that ships with quality in a complex regulatory environment.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of engineering management experience.
• 8+ years of software engineering experience.
• Experience taking a product or team from zero to one in a new market.
• Track record of hiring and developing strong engineers in high-performing teams.
• Strong technical depth for architecture, reliability, and tradeoffs in distributed systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead multiple pods and grow the team.
• Own the engineering side of a zero-to-one charter and translate strategy into a sequenced roadmap.
• Collaborate with product, GTM, legal, compliance, and partnerships; push back when needed.
• Stay hands-on: read code, review designs, and understand the money movement stack end-to-end.
• Build the operating system for the team: hiring, rituals, on-call, and processes for speed and safety.
• Hire great engineers and provide direct, timely feedback.
