Vanderlande is seeking an IT Project Engineer to deliver, commission, and support IT infrastructure behind automated material handling systems in the APAC region. You will design, implement, troubleshoot, and maintain networks, servers, virtualization, and cybersecurity, working with international teams and subcontractors.

The role emphasizes customer-facing responsibilities, project delivery, and on-site deployments with up to 80% travel.

Qualifications

• Essential Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field.
• 2-5 years of experience in IT infrastructure or systems engineering.
• Strong understanding of networking concepts, server infrastructure, virtualization, and operating systems.
• Experience supporting enterprise IT environments.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication skills in English.
• Proactive and able to work in an international team; travel up to 80%.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and support IT infrastructure for airport and parcel automation projects.
• Serve as technical contact for internal and external stakeholders.
• Analyze issues, identify root causes, and develop robust solutions.
• Translate customer requirements into scalable IT solutions.
• Execute infrastructure deployments and system integrations per project methods.
• Provide expert troubleshooting to minimize downtime.
• Ensure cybersecurity standards and best practices are followed.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, customers, and subcontractors.
• Monitor system performance and identify improvement opportunities.
• Support commissioning activities and handover of complex systems.
• Participate in on-call/standby rotations as needed.
