Job summary

DHL Global Forwarding is seeking an experienced Front End Project Design lead to implement operational plans and deliver smooth, multimodal logistics for APAC. You will oversee complex projects, optimize capacity, and ensure quality, safety and regulatory compliance across sites.

Your experience with heavy-lift cargo, barging, and multi-origin operations will drive profitability and customer satisfaction while coordinating with subcontractors and HSQE teams across the region.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (preferred).
• 10+ years of operational experience in the Project Forwarding Industry.
• Proven track record of managing complex, multi-origin project operations involving heavy-lift cargo, barging, multimodal solutions, and other specialized logistics activities.

Responsibilities

• Implement operations plans and processes for the assigned site/work station(s).
• Provide smooth logistics operations and deliver activities of receiving, handling and dispatching stations.
• Execute plans to deliver agreed customer, service, quality and financial objectives for large/complex projects.
• Monitor available capacities of the section/site and ensure optimum utilization as per objectives.
• Review operational performance and delivery against performance objectives with key customers.
• Deliver, manage and update complex and large projects secured by the business.
• Manage delivery of profitability, service quality and timelines.
• Coordinate and control delivery of project breakbulk, general cargo and containerized freight.
• Identify and share opportunities to grow business with existing customers.
• Prepare and regularly share site performance reports.
• Resolve complex issues in operational activities and report events to management.
• Adhere to policies and achieve compliance with safety/HSQE regulations.
• Analyze productivity data to implement efficiency improvements.
• Implement Vendor Management programmes and increase subcontractor bandwidth.
• Ensure proper method statements and engineering synergies for Heavy lift cargo.
• Close cooperation with HSE for operational excellence.
• Monitor station metrics.
