Job summary

Scotiabank seeks an Associate Director for FICC Trading APAC based in Singapore. The role executes and hedges fixed income flow from Asia, manages risk, and promotes trading ideas to sales teams. It covers Canadian/Treasury products and multi-currency exposures, with client-facing travel to support business development and franchise growth.

The candidate should have MBA or equivalent, 3+ years in fixed income, MAS licensing, and strong communication under pressure.

Qualifications

• MBA or undergraduate degree with strong academic achievement.
• Minimum 3 years in Fixed Income markets (US, UK, Singapore).
• Current MAS license (1B, 6A) holders preferred.
• Experience coordinating with global teams and risk management teams.
• Ability to travel internationally when required.

Responsibilities

• Price, execute and hedge client flows in Government/Provincial/Muni/SSA bonds.
• Manage FX spot, forwards, swaps and NDF risks in the region; promote products.
• Lead and drive a client-focused culture to deepen relationships.
• Support business development and franchise growth across APAC FICC desks.
• Ensure compliance with regulations, policies and risk controls.
