Job summary

Scotiabank Singapore seeks an experienced fixed income trader to execute and hedge Asia-originated flows, manage risk, and support client coverage across government and SSA bonds. The role requires strong market knowledge and regulatory awareness, with a fast-paced trading floor environment and occasional travel.

The successful candidate will contribute to the regional and global FICC and GBM businesses, collaborating with sales and other desks while ensuring adherence to policies and controls.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years in Fixed Income markets (US/UK/Singapore).
• Current MAS licensing (1B, 6A) required.
• Experience coordinating with global teams.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Price, execute and hedge client flows in Government of Canada/Provincial/Canhou and Muni bonds.
• Manage and hedge risk across rates, FX, and credit desks.
• Promote trading ideas to sales and contribute to client coverage.
• Collaborate with global teams during Asia time to support business.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory and internal controls.
