Job summary

Tower Research Capital is a leading quantitative trading firm seeking an experienced quant/trader with strong ETF expertise to join its APAC-focused desk. You will price and trade ETFs across Japan and Hong Kong, monitor performance, and work with researchers to scale strategies.

The role requires 5+ years in ETF flows, a quantitative degree, and proficiency in Python, SQL, and Bash. Hybrid work and global collaboration across offices are offered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s, master’s, or PhD in a quantitative or technical discipline (e.g., Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent).
• At least 5 years of hands-on experience handling Japan ETF flows.
• Strong understanding of ETF mechanics, including primary/secondary market interactions, creation/redemption processes, and arbitrage dynamics.
• Deep understanding of market microstructure and regional trading nuances across APAC exchanges.

Responsibilities

• Pricing and trading leveraged and unleveraged ETFs across Japan and Hong Kong.
• Monitoring ETF fair value, tracking errors, and arbitrage opportunities across markets.
• Developing and maintaining reports, dashboards, and monitoring systems to track performance and risk.
• Managing ETF lifecycle events including index rebalances, corporate actions, and dividend adjustments.
• Collaborating with quantitative researchers to enhance and scale trading strategies.
• Continuously analyzing market structure and liquidity dynamics to improve execution quality.
