Job summary

Nscale is seeking a Director of Design & Engineering for APAC to lead the technical design and delivery of its data centre portfolio. You will drive reliability, scalability, and energy efficiency for high-density AI/GPU workloads across the APAC region.

You will set standards, lead cross-disciplinary teams, and partner with commercial, network and operations to ensure robust, long-term operations and governance. Willingness to travel across APAC is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in Engineering or equivalent.
• 12+ years in data centre design/engineering or mission-critical facilities.
• Experience leading multidisciplinary design teams.
• Strong knowledge of electrical/mechanical data centre systems and standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead APAC Data Centre Design & Engineering function across civil, structural, architectural, mechanical, electrical and controls disciplines.
• Set technical strategy, design standards and reference architectures for APAC data centres.
• Oversee projects from feasibility to handover, ensuring uptime, resilience and safety.
• Define Basis of Design, specifications, drawings and change controls.
• Collaborate with Site Selection, Development, Construction, Network, Operations and Commercial teams.
