Job summary

Tata Consultancy Services Singapore is seeking a skilled SCS & Fibre Technician/Field Engineer to install, terminate, test, and maintain structured cabling within data centres across the APAC region. You will work closely with network engineers, infrastructure teams, and project managers to ensure optimal performance and reliability of network connectivity.

You will collaborate with technical teams to support network and IT infrastructure needs, read blueprints, and perform fibre and copper

Qualifications

BICSI certification or equivalent.
Experience in data centre operations and infrastructure.
Familiar with fibre optic and copper cabling standards (TIA/EIA, BICSI, ANSI).
Experience using cable testing and certification tools such as Fluke and OTDR.
Ability to read blueprints, wiring diagrams, and network schematics.

Responsibilities

Install, terminate, and test copper and fibre cabling in data centres and offices.
Label, document, and maintain cabling installations per standards.
Troubleshoot and repair cabling issues and identify faulty connections.
Perform cable routing, dressing, and patching for organised environments.
Ensure safety and compliance in high-density server spaces.
Conduct cable testing with OTDR, OLTS, and certifiers.
Assist with MACs and equipment moves as required.
Maintain accurate records and diagrams of cable infrastructure.
