Job summary

Global Switch is seeking an Engineering Manager, APAC, to support the Engineering Director in leading regional delivery across our data centre sites. You will manage Principal Delivery Engineers and help plan and execute engineering strategies to improve reliability and total cost of ownership across the region.

In this role you will review designs, manage external teams, optimise CAPEX and procurement, and drive resilience and energy efficiency.

Qualifications

Experience in leading data centre delivery and operational excellence.
Ability to analyse and review complex engineering designs for resilience and cost.
Strong commercial awareness with CAPEX and TCO focus.
Proven track record managing external design/construction teams.

Responsibilities

Oversee independent assessments of data centre infrastructure integrity and SFO remediation.
Review technical designs for resilience and cost-effectiveness.
Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure cost-effective capital procurement and optimal maintenance.
Identify risks in technical proposals and plan mitigations.
Develop framework agreements with OEMs and assist with consultant agreements.
Support project management to ensure timely internal approvals.
Prepare regular senior management reports and capture lessons learned.
Track new technologies; promote energy efficiency and reliability.
