Job summary

S&P Global Corporate is seeking a Director of Communications for the APAC region to lead development and execution of communications, elevating the energy business through strategic storytelling and media engagement. You will partner with senior leaders, craft compelling narratives, and manage external content including press materials and bylined pieces.

This role emphasizes crisis readiness, internal collaboration, and measurement of reach and impact to align with corporate goals across APAC

Qualifications

• Strategic communications leader with credibility and regional media relationships.
• Experience developing PR strategies across APAC markets with high-value opportunities.
• Drafting and managing materials for internal and external audiences, clear messaging.
• Proven ability to build relationships with media, colleagues and industry influencers.
• Strong project management to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting.
• Ability to handle time-sensitive issues and crisis communications.
• Minimum 10 years in external communications, media relations, or PR in financial services, energy, data analytics or tech.
• Excellent written and verbal communication in English.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute the communications strategy for S&P Global Energy within APAC.
• Collaborate with senior leaders to craft narratives and communicate initiatives.
• Draft and distribute external content including press releases and bylined articles.
• Ensure communications align with corporate values and guidelines.
• Build relations with media, journalists, industry analysts across APAC.
• Coordinate media interviews, press briefings and events to promote goals.
• Monitor and report on communications results aligned with strategic goals.
• Manage media relations during crises and mitigate reputational risk.
• Create internal content and manage internal events as required.
