Job summary

Imperium Commodity Search is seeking experienced commodity brokers to join a growing APAC desk, ideally in Singapore, with flexibility for other major hubs. The role centers on brokering physical or derivative contracts, servicing institutional clients, and expanding the client base across oil, gas, energy and metals markets.

Qualifications

• 3+ years experience as a commodity broker in an IDB/FCM execution environment.
• Excellent knowledge of the commodity markets within your niche (Oil, Gas, Energy, Metals & Mining, Agri etc.).
• Proven track record of managing multiple client types in trade execution within the commodity markets.
• Strong commercial focus with excellent communication skills.
• Fluency in a Chinese Language - Mandarin preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and develop existing client relationships and drive business development across the desk.
• Provide timely and accurate execution services to industry majors, funds and institutions.
• Keep up-to-date knowledge of markets and provide market analysis and news to desk and counterparties.
• Identify new business opportunities aligned to trends, products and clients.
• Work with onboarding/compliance to open new lines.
• Establish cross-sell opportunities across broad asset class coverage.
