Job summary

MET Group seeks an experienced energy derivatives professional to lead client advisory and execution across LPG, natural gas, crude oil and refined products in the APAC region. You will develop hedging strategies, deliver OTC and exchange-traded solutions, and monitor market fundamentals to inform risk decisions.

The role requires 5+ years in commodity trading within energy markets, strong quantitative and communication skills, and the ability to work independently while collaborating with teams

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in finance, economics, engineering, mathematics or a related discipline.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience and proven commodity sales in energy derivatives trading or related energy markets.
• Strong understanding of APAC energy complex and derivatives markets including futures, swaps, options and hedging strategies.
• Exceptional communication, negotiation and analytical skills.
• Hands-on experience trading futures, swaps or options in exchange-traded or OTC markets.
• Strong analytical, quantitative and risk management skills.
• High integrity, professional ethics and sense of responsibility, with strong teamwork skills.
• Able to work independently but as a team player.
• Bilingual proficiency (English and Mandarin) is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute trading strategies in energy derivatives markets, including LPG, natural gas, crude oil and refined products.
• Pitch and deliver OTC and exchange-traded derivative solutions to a regional APAC client base.
• Develop and implement hedging strategies to support trading and commercial activities.
• Trade, execute and manage positions, block trades and hedge flows across futures, swaps and options.
• Monitor and analyse market fundamentals and price movements to identify trading opportunities.
• Provide customers with daily market analysis, pricing structures and volatility insights.
• Ensure all trades align with the firm’s risk limits and comply with Singapore regulatory frameworks.
