Shimadzu (Asia Pacific) is seeking an Application & Sales Specialist to blend deep chromatography expertise with commercial execution across the Asia-Pacific region. This role partners with regional sales teams, subsidiaries and distributors to lead technical evaluations, resolve chromatographic challenges, and convert customer trials into recurring sales.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s, Master’s or Ph.D. in Chemistry or related field.
• 3–5+ years in commercial or technical sales within analytical science or life sciences.
• Hands-on experience with analytical chromatography systems (HPLC/UHPLC, GC).
• Willingness to travel up to 30–40% across Asia Pacific.

Responsabilités

• Provide high-level technical and application enablement to accelerate consumables and partner solutions.
• Drive regional revenue targets across columns, kits and partner portfolios through technical consultancy.
• Review methods to identify replacement, column switching, and cross-selling opportunities.
• Collaborate with instrument sales teams to deliver comprehensive workflow solutions.
• Develop enablement collateral, sales tools and webinars for regional teams and distributors.
• Plan customer-facing sessions and workshops to generate leads and pipeline.
