Job summary

Meta in APAC seeks a senior communications leader to shape external narratives around AI and innovation across the region. You will develop and execute high-impact strategies that advance understanding of Meta's AI products, research, and responsible innovation among media, policymakers, industry partners, and the public.

You will serve as a strategic adviser to APAC leadership, craft executive messaging and thought leadership content, and lead media relations and crisis communications for AI

Qualifications

• 12+ years in external/public relations with tech/AI focus.
• Experience leading multi-market APAC communications strategies.
• Experience managing high-visibility AI or research-driven narratives for a global tech company.
• Proven ability to build influential media relationships across APAC.
• Experience advising senior leaders on messaging and reputational risk.

Responsibilities

• Develop and lead the regional communications strategy for Meta's AI and innovation portfolio across APAC, aligning with global narratives while adapting for local context.
• Build and manage relationships with top-tier technology, business, and policy media across APAC to drive proactive coverage of Meta's AI initiatives.
• Advise APAC leadership and cross-functional partners on AI announcements and issues.
• Craft executive messaging, briefing materials, op-eds, press statements, and thought leadership content.
• Identify emerging AI narratives and reputational risks; develop proactive and reactive communications plans.
• Lead cross-functional collaboration to integrate APAC perspectives into company-wide AI communications.
• Manage high-stakes media moments including launches, research publications, and regulatory developments.
• Build a network of journalists, analysts, researchers, and industry voices shaping APAC AI conversations.
• Develop measurement frameworks to evaluate program effectiveness and guide optimization.
• Coach regional teams on AI messaging and media engagement.
