APAC Account Executive — ESG & Corporate Communications

Job summary

Sandpiper seeks an Account Executive in Singapore to support ESG and Corporate client portfolios across the APAC region. You will assist with client servicing, reporting, and new business development while mentoring interns and collaborating with teams on strategy and media relations.

The role emphasizes strong writing and communication skills, with opportunities to build industry networks and gain exposure to high-profile campaigns within a fast-growing consultancy.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in communications, journalism, business or a related field.
• Minimum 3 months of relevant communications experience; agency experience is an advantage.
• Professional services or ESG experience would be an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Supports day-to-day account coordination to ensure timely delivery.
• Field day-to-day client contact at appropriate levels.
• Provide clear, timely reporting and monitoring.
• Attend client meetings and contribute to progress updates.
• Actively deepen knowledge of client’s business and related issues.
• Solid level of written and verbal communication.
• Prepare client documents in the appropriate formats.
• Conduct research and content development for new business proposals.
• Start building an external network and industry profile.
• Assist with marketing initiatives and networking to gather leads and insights for clients and colleagues.
• Offer new ideas and deliver fresh thinking to both new business briefs and existing clients projects.
• Assist senior colleagues in fulfilling their responsibilities.
• Provide timely and effective updates on programme execution.
• Mentor interns as needed.
• Demonstrate a strong desire for learning and seek colleagues’ perspectives.
• Build confidence in sharing new ideas and approaches.
• Request and share opinions and feedback.
• Listen actively to others and seek assistance when necessary.
• Develop proficiency in using research, insights and planning tools available at Sandpiper.
• Assist in research and analysis, primarily in information gathering.
• Explore emerging trends, technologies, and creative work to inspire new approaches.
• Demonstrate a working knowledge of media rhythms, landscapes, and trends.
• Develop understanding of regional politics and macroeconomic trends.
• Show familiarity with key media outlets; pitch stories and build relationships with journalists.
• Continuously deepen understanding of client’s business, issues, and media to support objectives.
• Start to network with clients, prospects, and media contacts, building a professional network.
