Wise Payments is seeking an Analytics Director for the APAC Squad to lead a high-impact analytics team that informs the product roadmap for the region. You will report to the Global Senior Analytics Director for Regional Expansion and collaborate daily with product, banking and engineering leads to drive data-led decisions.
You will guide a team of about 10 analysts, partner with cross-functional stakeholders, and ensure robust measurement of interventions across diverse APAC markets.
We’re looking for an Analytics Director for the APAC Squad who is passionate about our mission of Money Without Borders, to lead a high-impact analytics team that is central to building out the product roadmap for this major Region. This is a unique opportunity to drive decision making in a diverse, high-potential region!
You’ll report to the Global Senior Analytics Director for Regional Expansion, and partner daily with the Product, Banking and Engineering leads for the APAC squad. Together, you will form a cross-functional group of key decision makers who own the challenge of driving the product roadmap in this Region. You’ll also be part of the Analytics community within Wise, giving you access to a global network of analytics professionals.
You’ll lead a team of c.10 passionate product analysts and support them to partner across product teams to drive data-led decision making and ensure robust measurement of the impact of the work we do! You will also support them in identifying insights to inform our planning process - all to ensure that we are enhancing our customer’s experience across the diverse countries in the APAC region.

Support the APAC squad to address the most important challenges for the Region using data and insights, and building relevant KPIs to measure impact and hold ourselves accountable
Develop, coach and support a talented analytics team, unblocking them to influence the strategic roadmap for the Region
Refine the analytical vision and plan for APAC and contribute to the Regional Analytics strategy globally (we are solving similarly complex problems across all Regions)

Experienced Analytics leader who has successfully built analytics functions in fast-paced, scaling, global companies (ideally at the scale of 10+ people teams, including other leads).
Makes the complex simple by building and telling stories with data to drive data-led org-level change
Led, developed, supported and grown a team of analysts enabling them to effectively partner with cross-functional stakeholders and build trusted relationships
Hands-on data manipulation and analysis experience including scripting/coding (and coaching others) in SQL and Python (or R)
Co-owned team wide projects, helping to bring teams together to plan around problems with KPIs that make a difference
Would be amazing if you've practically used + applied AI / machine learning techniques and built predictive models to get deeper insight
