Job summary

Lonza in Singapore (Tuas) seeks Analysts to support downstream purification development for recombinant proteins. You will perform chromatography-based purification experiments, operate purification equipment, and generate data under supervision.

Role emphasizes quality, EHS, cGMP compliance and precise data handling in a fully site-based setting. The position offers collaboration in a dynamic team, on-site transport support, and comprehensive medical insurance options.

Qualifications

• Degree/PhD in Life Sciences or related field with relevant industry experience.
• Strong understanding of protein purification and downstream processing.
• Experience with chromatography techniques is advantageous.
• Experience operating ÄKTA systems and Unicorn software; familiarity with TFF/UFDF advantageous.
• Knowledge of laboratory safety, quality systems and cGMP requirements.
• Good problem-solving skills and ability to work in a lab environment.
• Final role/level commensurate with experience.

Responsibilities

• Conduct downstream purification activities including chromatography, filtration, viral clearance studies, and process evaluation experiments.
• Prepare buffers, reagents, and process materials for laboratory studies.
• Execute laboratory studies with a high level of Right First Time performance.
• Perform sampling, testing, and data collection according to procedures and study protocols.
• Assist in technology transfer, process optimization, and characterization studies.
• Troubleshoot experimental and equipment issues with guidance from senior team members.

The actual location of this job is in Singapore. The Analyst/Senior Analyst, Development Services (Purification) supports the development and optimization of downstream purification processes for recombinant protein therapeutics. The role performs chromatography-based purification experiments, operates purification equipment, and generates experimental data under the guidance of the Manager or Study Lead. Supports laboratory operations while ensuring compliance with EHS, Quality, cGMP, and data integrity requirements.

This is a fully site-based role. Working together in person supports close, real-time collaboration and the technical precision needed to manufacture medicines to the highest quality and safety standards.
