Job summary

Lonza Singapore, Science Park Facility, is seeking an Analyst in Development Services - Analytical Development to perform analytical testing on antibodies and recombinant proteins using methods such as capillary electrophoresis, HPLC/UPLC, qPCR and ELISAs.

The role supports rapid analytics for cell line selection and process development with high-throughput platforms (Bravo, Hamilton, GXII) and a focus on timely, well-documented study results.

Qualifications

• Degree in a relevant science field or equivalent.
• 1–2 years of experience in relevant process development analytical testing.
• Practical laboratory experience in analytical testing for antibodies or recombinant proteins advantageous with training provided.

Responsibilities

• Execution of analytical testing on antibodies and other therapeutic recombinant proteins.
• Demonstrate knowledge across test methods including capillary electrophoresis, HPLC/UPLC, oligosaccharides profiling, qPCR and ELISAs, including high-throughput versions.
• Perform method troubleshooting and optimization.
• Exercise technical discretion in execution and interpretation of experiments contributing to study strategies and goals.
• Deliver high standards of documentation including preparation and revision of test methods and study reports.
• Identify unusual results and participate in investigations as needed.
• Maintain awareness of phase-appropriate regulatory and quality expectations for analytical studies.

The actual location of this job is in Singapore.

The Process Analytics team is responsible for a range of activities including rapid analytical support for cell line selection, upstream and downstream process development, process characterization studies and other standalone stages for supporting customer’s IND/BLA application.

The successful applicant will be responsible for analytical testing using routine test methods alongside automated high throughput assay platforms and engaging with scientific projects in the Process Analytics team, ensuring that projects are delivered in a timely and efficient manner.

This position is based in Lonza Singapore, Science Park Facility.

What you will do:

• Execution of analytical testing on antibodies and other therapeutic recombinant proteins.

What we are looking for:

• Degree in a relevant Science field or Equivalent.
• Position available would be relevant for recent graduates and candidates with 1-2 years of experience in relevant process development analytical testing.
• Practical laboratory experience in analytical testing for antibodies or other recombinant proteins would be advantageous although training will be provided.
• The final role offered will be commensurate with the candidate’s experience.
• Understanding of theory and application of recombinant protein production, purification and analysis.
• Good understanding and application of cGMP concepts is an added advantage.
• Experience in automation of laboratory systems would be beneficial.
