Job summary

AIA is seeking a Finance professional to perform timely bank reconciliations for multiple bank accounts across entities and currencies, ensuring accuracy against the general ledger.

You will support month-end closing, investigate reconciliation breaks, prepare journal entries when needed, and participate in process improvements and automation initiatives to streamline bank reconciliation activities.

About the Role

This role is responsible for performing timely and accurate reconciliation of bank accounts, investigating and resolving reconciling items.

Bank Reconciliation Operations

• Perform periodic bank reconciliations for multiple bank accounts across various entities and currencies.
• Investigate and analyse reconciliation breaks, unmatched transactions, and outstanding items.
• Prepare journal entries related to reconciling items where required.
• Monitor aging items and ensure timely resolution through collaboration with relevant stakeholders.
• Validate and reconcile bank statements against general ledger balances.

Month-End & Reporting Support

• Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing activities.
• Assist in balance sheet account reviews

Process Improvement

• Identify opportunities to streamline reconciliation processes and improve efficiency.
• Support automation initiatives and system enhancements related to bank reconciliation activities.
• Participate in process documentation, standardisation, and continuous improvement projects.
