Job summary

AIA Singapore is seeking a Bank Reconciliation Specialist to perform timely and accurate reconciliation of bank accounts across multiple entities and currencies.

You will investigate reconciliation breaks, analyse unmatched items, prepare journal entries, and support month‑end, quarter‑end and year‑end closing activities while collaborating with stakeholders; you will also identify process improvements and contribute to automation initiatives.

Qualifications

• Experience in bank reconciliations and month-end processes.
• Strong analytical skills with attention to detail.
• Proficiency in Excel and financial systems.

About the Role

This role is responsible for performing timely and accurate reconciliation of bank accounts, investigating and resolving reconciling items.

Bank Reconciliation Operations

• Perform periodic bank reconciliations for multiple bank accounts across various entities and currencies.
• Investigate and analyse reconciliation breaks, unmatched transactions, and outstanding items.
• Prepare journal entries related to reconciling items where required.
• Monitor aging items and ensure timely resolution through collaboration with relevant stakeholders.
• Validate and reconcile bank statements against general ledger balances.

Month-End & Reporting Support

• Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing activities.
• Assist in balance sheet account reviews.

Process Improvement

• Identify opportunities to streamline reconciliation processes and improve efficiency.
• Support automation initiatives and system enhancements related to bank reconciliation activities.
• Participate in process documentation, standardisation, and continuous improvement projects.
