Job summary

AIA Singapore is seeking an accurate and proactive Bank Reconciliation Operations professional to join our finance team. This role focuses on timely reconciliation of bank accounts, investigating reconciling items, and supporting month-end activities.

You will work across multiple entities and currencies, monitor aging items, prepare journal entries, and contribute to process improvements and automation initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Perform periodic bank reconciliations for multiple bank accounts across various entities and currencies.
  • Investigate and analyse reconciliation breaks, unmatched transactions, and outstanding items.
  • Prepare journal entries related to reconciling items where required.
  • Monitor aging items and ensure timely resolution through collaboration with relevant stakeholders.
  • Validate and reconcile bank statements against general ledger balances.
  • Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing activities.
  • Assist in balance sheet account reviews.

About The Role

This role is responsible for performing timely and accurate reconciliation of bank accounts, investigating and resolving reconciling items.

Bank Reconciliation Operations
  • Perform periodic bank reconciliations for multiple bank accounts across various entities and currencies.
  • Investigate and analyse reconciliation breaks, unmatched transactions, and outstanding items.
  • Prepare journal entries related to reconciling items where required.
  • Monitor aging items and ensure timely resolution through collaboration with relevant stakeholders.
  • Validate and reconcile bank statements against general ledger balances.
Month-End & Reporting Support
  • Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing activities.
  • Assist in balance sheet account reviews
Process Improvement
  • Identify opportunities to streamline reconciliation processes and improve efficiency.
  • Support automation initiatives and system enhancements related to bank reconciliation activities.
  • Participate in process documentation, standardisation, and continuous improvement projects.
