Job summary

RBC in Singapore is seeking an Analyst, Client Success Team to support cross‑product onboarding for APAC clients. You will coordinate onboarding across KYC, AML, Legal, Operations, IT, and more, ensuring a smooth client experience and clear progress updates to Sales.

The role requires a degree and 2+ years onboarding or related operations experience, plus strong capital markets knowledge and advanced Excel/PowerPoint skills.

  • 2+ years onboarding experience or related operations role.
  • Understanding of Capital Markets – FX, Cash and Equity Derivatives, Fixed Income, Futures, Commodities and Rates Derivatives
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office tools, with advanced Excel (macros, look‑ups) and PowerPoint
  • Experience with change projects

Responsibilities

  • Onboard clients in APAC into RBC locations as part of the global Client Success Team.
  • Manage client lifecycle projects across regional KYC, AML, Legal, Operations, IT, Credit, Docs, Risk.
  • Facilitate and report onboarding progress to business stakeholders; escalate as needed.
  • Identify operational risk/control deficiencies and adverse events.
  • Keep desktop procedures up to date and ensure compliance with firm policies.
  • Support strategic initiatives, documentation, and reporting/metrics as directed.
  • Identify opportunities to streamline and automate processes.
  • Demonstrate strong knowledge of derivative products and client communication.

What is the opportunity?

As the Analyst, Client Success Team, you will be a member of the Client Success Team (CST) working on cross-product onboarding in the APAC region.

What will you do?
  • Member of a global Client Success Team responsible for the onboarding of clients primarily focused on onboarding requests from APAC into all RBC locations.
  • Manage client lifecycle projects across the regional functional teams (KYC, AML, Legal, Operations, IT, Credit, Docs, Risk) to ensure smooth and efficient experience for the client and Sales.
  • Facilitation and reporting of the onboarding progress to business stakeholders, providing transparency and improved client service. Escalating as required.
  • Proactively identify operational risk/control deficiencies, risk loss events in the business accordingly
  • Keep desktop procedures up to date and refreshed as process changes are made and reviewed on a minimum of annual basis. Ensure compliance with Firm Policies applicable to activities e.g. Global client onboarding procedures, KYC/AML etc.
  • Other business support as directed by reporting manager (e.g. strategic or regulatory initiatives, projects, documentation of policy/procedures and reporting/metrics)
  • Proactively identify opportunities to enhance, streamline and automate processes.
  • Strong knowledge of derivative products.
  • Strong client communication skills required for this client relationship management role.

Must-have
  • Degree or equivalent is required
  • The role would typically require 2+ years onboarding experience preferred or experience in a related operations role
  • Understanding of Capital Markets – FX, Cash and Equity Derivatives, Fixed Income, Futures, Commodities and Rates Derivatives
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office tools, with advanced Excel skills (macros, look‑ups etc) and PowerPoint skills
  • Some experience working on change projects and an open change mindset
Nice-to-have
  • Proactive, team player, self‑motivated with strong organizational and time management skills (must be able to prioritize and re‑prioritize tasks to meet the fast paced demands of the trading environment)
  • Strong sense of accountability and ownership over “client experience” and end‑to‑end client on‑boarding processes.
  • Ability to successfully navigate a complex infrastructure that involves numerous groups and individuals.
  • The trading floor environment can be a high stress environment that requires quick turnaround, decision making and constant communication.
  • Working with the trading floor staff requires meticulous attention to detail and the ability to “think outside the box” often in a high intensity environment.
