Job summary

Purview Asia Pacific is seeking a data-focused analyst to support APAC stakeholders in translating regulatory reporting requirements into automated data workflows. You will leverage Alteryx and Excel to profile data, map transformations, and validate data quality across diverse sources.

The role involves collaborating with business and technology teams to ensure accurate, compliant reporting across the region, with a strong emphasis on data governance and process improvement.

Qualifications

• Minimum several years of experience as a data analyst or related role.
• Proficiency with Alteryx Designer for complex workflows.
• Strong SQL skills for data extraction and validation.
• Advanced Excel skills including pivots, lookups, and VBA.
• Ability to translate business and regulatory requirements into technical rules.

Responsibilities

• Engage with APAC stakeholders to understand reporting requirements and submission processes.
• Document current reporting processes including Excel workbooks and macros.
• Translate requirements into functional and data requirements for automation.
• Identify country-specific reporting needs across APAC markets.
• Perform data profiling across source systems, databases, and files.
• Analyze data structures for quality, completeness, and anomalies.
• Identify data gaps and coordinate with business and tech teams to resolve issues.
• Validate source data against regulatory reports and expectations.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Engage with business and regulatory reporting stakeholders across APAC regions to understand reporting requirements, business rules, calculations, validations and submission processes.
• Document existing As-Is reporting processes, including Excel spreadsheets, VBA/macros, manual adjustments, data transformations, reconciliations and dependencies.
• Translate regulatory and business requirements into detailed functional and data requirements for automation.
• Identify common and country-specific reporting requirements across APAC markets.
• Perform detailed data profiling across source systems, databases, files and reporting datasets.
• Analyze data structures, formats, completeness, quality, consistency, duplicates and anomalies.
• Identify data gaps and work with business and technology teams to resolve data quality issues.
• Validate source data against existing regulatory reports and business expectations.

Skills and Requirements

• Strong experience as a Data Analyst, Business Data Analyst, or Alteryx Developer/Analyst.
• Hands-on experience with Alteryx Designer and development of complex data preparation and automation workflows.

• Experience working with structured and semi-structured datasets from databases, Excel, CSV, flat files and other enterprise data sources.
