Job summary

Selby Jennings, a trading-focused recruitment firm, is seeking a Trading Operations Analyst in Singapore to support and supervise automated trading strategies. You will work with quantitative traders and software developers to monitor live production trading and build Python tooling around the system.

The role targets individuals with 2–3 years of desk experience who want closer proximity to the trading desk and to take on increasing technical ownership over time.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years overseeing live flow on a desk or execution support
• Able to interrogate execution data and reach defensible conclusions
• Familiar with listed derivatives, instruments and exchanges
• Familiar with electronic execution platforms; UNIX or Linux and alerting tooling
• Working knowledge of Python applied to systems and process improvement
• Willing to own demanding work and grow into broader remit
• Degree in CS/Engineering/Math/Physics

Responsibilities

• Partner with traders and technologists on live algorithmic strategies
• Oversee live order flow for exposure and control breaches
• Investigate and resolve problems from daily execution activity
• Develop scripts and small apps to reduce manual work across the platform
• Analyze executed flow and pricing data to sharpen performance
• Cover the desk on an early schedule from 7AM Singapore Time
