Job summary

SIA Engineering Company Limited invites applications for an Aircraft Painting role. The successful candidate will understand aircraft systems and painting requirements, ensure compliance with safety in the hangar, and perform sanding and painting tasks with appropriate PPE and tools.

Responsibilities include selecting correct paints, following TDS/MSDS, handling spray guns and related equipment, and maintaining tools in good condition. Shift work may be required to support operations.

Qualifications

• Preferably with spray painting experience in Aerospace component MRO environment.
• Ability to write and converse in English.
• Attentive to details and ability to understand Component Maintenance Manuals.
• Able to perform shiftwork on rotational basis, if necessary.

Responsibilities

• Understanding of how aircraft works (Aerodynamic).
• Important of Aircraft control surface, antenna, Pitot static port if damaged by sanding or paint.
• Aircraft parts that do and do not require painting (e.g., Altimeter; Pitot/Static port).
• Type of paint used on aircraft and aircraft parts (e.g., Teflon paint, anti-static paint for radome).
• Understanding Paint TDS and MSDS.
• Importance of Fuselage scribe / scrape marks that may damage aircraft during sealant removal; use approved tools only.
• Understand aircraft structure (aluminium and composites) prior to painting.
• Adhere to hangar safety, PPE, and aircraft safety requirements.
• Understand equipment work and function (spray gun, sanding tools).
• Maintain equipment in good condition.
• Basic sanding and painting skills.
• Chemical paint stripping of aircraft parts.
• Know water break tests and alodine process.
• WAH and scissor lift licence (tele platform) advantageous.
• Understand mandatory aircraft markings (e.g., registration, cut-here in emergency).

• Able to maintain the Equipment in good condition
• Basic sanding and painting skill

• Understanding the need of water break test and alodine
• Possess WAH and scissor lift licence (Tele Platform optional) will be an advantage
• Understanding the importance of Aircraft mandatory marking. Eg registration number “Cut here in emergency”
